Railway services with own locomotives

 The terminal’s port railway has its own fleet of locomotives for shunting trains within the terminal or delivering or collecting goods from block trains. The port railway’s range of services even extends to arranging the transport of goods throughout Germany for private railway companies.
Hinterland transport from the sea port
The Port of Halle has been running several weekly container block train connections from and to Hamburg and Bremerhaven since 2004.
Transport by rail - port railway
The services provided by the port railway include not just the regular container block train connections but also a wide range of shunting, delivery and nationwide train services with our own locomotives.
Regular services to international ports
Several container block trains now run between Halle and the international ports. Special trains are operated according to demand.
We provide services to the following international ports:
- Hamburg: Eurogate / CTA / CTB / CTT
- Bremerhaven: CT1 / CT2 / CT3 / NTB
